Twistor correspondences underly integrability. The full Einstein vacuum
equations are not integrable but admit a lax pair in the form of the
Rarita Schwinger equations. There are also integrable reductions of the
Einstein vacuum equations in the form of the Ernst equations. This note
reviews some applications of these ideas.
