The present status of the experimental search of gravitational waves is characterized by the assembling and commissioning of the large scale interferometers, while the resonant detectors are in quasi-continuous operation. The IGEC collaboration coordinate the analysis of the data taken in coincidence by the resonant antennas, aimed at the detection of δ-like burst signals. In the data analysis session of this Conference, new IGEC results have been presented [1]. The data exchanged by the various groups are limited to the time of the events which are selected by each group independently. Thus, the data amount is small and the computational cost of the coincidence analysis is negligible. Although the detection efficiency of this method is high, it has to be considered as sub-optimal in the sense of the linear estimation theory. For this reason different approaches have been proposed and the comparison among the various method is still actual [2]...
