We summarize what we can learn about a core-collapse supernova (SN) from
the detection of the neutrinos emitted: first, the possibility to locate
a future galactic SN; second, the essential role of neutrino
oscillations to determine the initial neutrino fluxes, and the features
of the explosion mechanism.
