New Chandra X-ray Observatory calibration data have recently been acquired for open cluster NGC 2516 (``the southern Pleiades''). We achieve higher sensitivity than previously possible for the cluster by combining the new data with reprocessed data from existing calibration and GTO observations and adding data from previously obtained but not yet exploited ACIS-S calibration fields. Preliminary results of our new analyses will be presented.
