An ACIS-S imaging observation of the nearby Sab spiral galaxy M81 reveals a rich diversity among the some 90 sources detected. In addition to the primary target, SN 1993J, Chandra resolves the nuclear region of M81, images 8 other super-Eddington sources, 7 very soft sources, and numerous SNRs and x-ray binaries within the host galaxy. Spectroscopic and photometric surveys of the brightest sources in the field are presented.
