The Cassini mission offers many opportunities for imaging science. Just as with the Galileo mission, the combination of improved imaging detectors, multiple close flybys, and a long stay in the system allows significant advances over the reconaissance performed by the two Voyager spacecraft in 1981. The Cassini mission objectives fall into roughly four catagories, Saturn atmosphere, Titan atmosphere, Satellites and Rings, and Magnetosphere. High resolution imaging and synoptic observations of dynamic features throughout the system will be major contributers to achievements in each of these areas.
