Using the properties of quantum parametric oscillators, two quantities are identified which increase monotonically in time in the process of parametric amplification. The use of these quantities as possible measures of entropy generation in vacuum cosmological particle creation is suggested. These quantities which are of complementary nature are both related to the number of particles spontaneously created.
