The BATSE experiment on the Compton Gamma Ray Observatory has been detecting solar microflares since May 1991. We report the status of our automated microflare search of the BATSE data. Our catalog contains many important flare parameters, such as peak intensity, duration and total fluence in the range of 25-50 keV, that are of broad interest to the solar physics community. We plan to make available data on thousands of microflares occuring between May 1991 and early 1994. We also present the result of work in progress to identify and remove short-lived, intense ``spike'' events in the database. These spikes have durations on the order of 1 s and satisfy the selection criteria for microflares, but are terrestrial in origin.
