The simple unlagged correlation between the magnetic fluctuations and fluctuations of the cosmic ray flux, which is measurable, can potentially provide unique information on the detailed nature of interplanetary magnetic turbulence. This paper presents the first measurements of the particle-field correlation. We discuss implications for the three-dimensional structure of interplanetary magnetic turbulence.
