The Thermal and Evolved Gas Analyzer instrument scheduled to fly onboard
the 2007 Mars Phoenix Scout Mission will perform DSC and EGA of soil
samples. In this study, we examine two possible modes of detecting
organics, namely, pyrolysis and combustion.
