Scientific paper

The characteristics of ballistic and downward-slide entries into the
Jovian atmosphere are analyzed. The effectiveness of using aerodynamic
lift to widen the entry corridor and improve the characteristics of the
entry trajectory is assessed. A solution to the problem of maximizing
the entry corridor is obtained.
