Studies of Landsat 7 ETM+ image and DEM data of the 52,000 year old
Lonar Crater (~1.8 km diameter), India, along with field studies and
comparison with experimental results, suggest that the impactor of the
crater came from east and hit the pre-impact surface at an angle between
30° and 45°.
