Crater size frequency distributions of the giant polygon terrain in
Utopia and Acidalia Planitiae indicate a major resurfacing event, which
occured in a time span between 3.8 and 3.4 Ga. The regional geology and
these ages are consistent with the existence of a proposed Martian
ocean.
