Closed system heating experiments of siderite-pyrite mixtures produce
magnetite-pyrrhotite associations similar to those reported for black
rims of the carbonate globules in ALH84001 Martian meteorite. These
results support an inorganic formation process for magnetite and
pyrrhotite in ALH84001.
