Among the instruments at the Ondrejov Observatory, in the Czech
Republic, is a remounted 8-inch (210mm) achromatic object glass made by
the firm of Alvan Clark and Sons, of Cambridge, Massachusetts, in 1859.
The optical quality and characteristics of this OG have recently been
thoroughly tested, and its provenance has been traced.
