A proposal is presented for the auxiliary propulsion system of an out-of-ecliptic spacecraft launched by Ariane launch vehicle. Design is based on the apogee boost motor and the reaction control system used for the Symphonie satellites. Based on work done for the Jupiter orbiter mission, the lifetime for the propulsion system with one 400-N engine and twelve 10-N engines is assessed as being 6 years for the intended mission.
