The atmosphere of large-scale space habitats is considered. The equations presented can generally be applied to any habitat which uses rotation to provide artificial gravity. However, the number and specifics of the circulation are based on the concept of long cylinders with alternating strips of land and window areas, running the length of the colony. Light from the sun is reflected in through the windows by large, flat mirrors which rotate with the colony. The considered colony is 32 km long and 3.2 km in radius. The selection of an atmosphere with a suitable composition is considered, taking into account disadvantages of an earth-like atmosphere related to the necessity to transport large quantities of nitrogen up from earth. Attention is also given to relations of hydrostatics, dynamics, and cloud physics. A habitat is envisaged in which clouds will form over the land areas where the air rising from the warm surface cools adiabatically until it reaches saturation.
