Computer simulations of the kinetic warm-beam instability with finite-mass ions are reported. It is shown that strong turbulence, including Langmuir collapse, stabilized the beam-plasma instability before quasi-linear plateau formation. This process decreases significantly the beam-plasma coupling and increases the propagation distance in accordance with laboratory and space observations.
