Solar Wind: Helium

Dependence of the relative α-particle abundance on the solar wind hydrodynamical parameters is studied. In the slow, cold and dense solar wind streams connected with regions with a closed coronal magnetic field the relative helium abundance increases with increasing of velocity and temperature and decreases with increasing of density, but in high speed, hot and rare streams connected with regions with an open coronal magnetic field the relative helium abundance decreases with increasing of velocity and temperature and increases with increasing of density.
