An investigation of the photon arrival time spread in cosmic ray induced air showers and its impact on air Cherenkov telescopes for ground-based gamma-ray astronomy will be presented. The photon pulse integration time, discrimination method and coincidence time width influence the threshold and collection area and in turn the flux measurements. Studies, based on Monte Carlo simulations, are presented.
