An analysis of Bessel-Bredikhin series shows that, if the age of dust grains ejected from a comet nucleus does not exceed 20 days, the Finson-Probstein method permits generalization to the case when the gravity gradient and radiation pressure must be taken into account. For practical purposes, it is sufficient to take into account the Coriolis rotation of the density sphere in the comet-orbit plane as well as centrifugal and tidal variations of its radius.
