The periodic comet P/Schwassmann-Wachmann 1 (P/SW 1) is famous for its erratic activity, most likely indicating that in this comet a thermal evolution takes place; the interior of the nucleus of P/SW 1 could thus contain pristine matter. This should make P/SW 1 an interesting target for a comet sample-return mission. In this preliminary study, some technical constraints for a mission to P/SW 1 are discussed.
