The Galileo spacecraft is scheduled to end its 11-year mission to
Jupiter. The article chronicles Galileo's equipment malfunctions as well
as its successes. Jupiter's moons, atmosphere, and magnetic field were
all subjects studied by Galileo. Vivid and detailed photographs sent to
Earth from Galileo gave scientists the best look at the planet ever.
