The ESA/NASA Solar Orbiter mission is ESA's next major Solar/Heliospheric Physics mission currently scheduled for launch in 2017. Solar Orbiter will orbit the Sun from 0.22 to 0.75 AU, and provides strong synergy with the NASA Solar Probe mission. Solar Orbiter is currently part of the ESA Cosmic Visions Program, and includes 10 remote sensing and in-situ instrument or instrument suites, 3 of which are funded by NASA. This poster will provide an overview of the mission, a description of the instrument payload, and highlight the synergies between Solar Orbiter and Solar Probe.
