The WMAP satellite has provided the most precise observations of the cosmic microwave background radiation to date. With 3 years of observation not only have the temperature fluctuations been measured but also a full-sky characterization of the CMB polarization. The polarization data is able to break key degeneracies in the temperature data. This allows an improved insight into the physics early universe, and therefore a test of the key facets of inflation.
