Only the largest Kuiper belt objects are accessible to study with adaptive optics. Conveniently, these largest KBOs are often the most interesting to study and have the highest fraction of satellites. I describe Keck and Gemini LGS-AO observations of the small satellites of the largest Kuiper belt objects and of the corresponding information that can be obtained on the masses, densities, and orbital evolution of these systems.
