One way to protect a satellite against radiation is by the use of an electrified screen. In this paper, an analysis is presented of secular changes in the rotational motion of the satellite which arise due to the interaction of the charged particles of the screen with the geomagnetic field. It is shown that this secular effect is comparable to those caused by linear magnetic or aerodynamic disturbances.
