We have recently described a concept of a coronagraph using a phase mask with 4 sectors (FQ-PM) which presents an excellent rejection factor, and which can be rather easily made achromatic with two dispersive materials or with a multi-layers reflective phase mask. We propose to add this device to the Eddington payload for direct imaging of planetary systems. The FQ-PM requires an off-axis telescope and a good correction of pointing errors to have a high rejection factor (>106. The achromatic mask and the possibility of fine correction of pointing error directly on the phase mask are presently under study.
