A new tomographical method incorporating elements of Doppler mapping, eclipse mapping, and the recently developed ``accretion stream mapping'' is presented and compared to the existing methods of spatial intensity information reconstruction. We show first promising results of the new ``orbital mapping'' technique with synthetic test data. Thanks to Bettina Hoffmann for calculating some classical Doppler tomograms. This work was funded by the DLR under grant 50 OR 99 03 06.}
