Ultraviolet spectra of cataclysmic variables with accretion disks contributing only a small percentage of their light provide an opportunity to directly view the white dwarf and study how it is affected by the accretion process. The use of HST, with its greater sensitivity and resolution over IUE, allows the determination of the temperature and composition of white dwarfs in the faintest, lowest mass accretion systems, while the line widths can be used to derive rotation rates. We present the results for systems observed at quiescence from our Cycle 7/8 programs which obtained observations over a variety of orbital periods, but with concentrated effort directed toward short orbital period systems to find the coolest white dwarfs in disk-accreting systems.
