We present the results of the analysis of high-resolution X-ray spectra of four Seyfert 1 galaxies selected by its high X-ray brightness and low Galactic column density. The four galaxies are HE 1143-1810, Mkn 110, CTS A08.12 and ESO 359-G19. The spectra were taken with the Reflection Grating Spectrometers on board the XMM-Newton satellite. It is found that, in contrast to other well-studied Seyfert 1 galaxies, the spectra of these galaxies lack of significant absorption features, indicating the absence of high column density absorbing material in the vicinity of the active nucleus.
