An iterative technique is derived for determining the evolution function necessary to adjust radio source counts to standard general relativistic cosmological models. The method assumes that the luminosity dependence of the evolution may be represented by a sharp turn-on above which the source density evolves. The redshift dependence may thus be solved in a free-form solution. The method has been applied to counts at 480 MHz from the Molonglo Cross telescope using the Einstein-de Sitter model. The resulting evolution function is more complex than previous results.
