We have recently completed a Compact Array imaging survey of bright-rimmed clouds in order to measure the physical conditions in their ionised boundary layers. We wish to complement this survey with Mopra single-dish CO spectroscopy so that we can evaluate the physical conditions within the interior of the clouds and determine the pressure balance between the ionised boundary layer and the molecular interior of the clouds. Measuring the pressure balance will enable us to identify those clouds that are currently being shocked by photoionisation-induced shock fronts and determine which clouds contain star-forming regions that are likely to have been triggered.
