The thermodynamics of a static black hole with a global monopole is
investigated in two different coordinate systems. It is shown that, in
order to satisfy general covariance, the first law of thermodynamics of
the static black hole should be dE= (k/4π) dA, while the other three
coincide with the Bardeen-Carter-Hawking laws.
