Consideration is given to a revised version of the AFGL atmospheric absorption line parameters compilation which plots spectroscopic data for the seven IR active gases significant in the terrestrial atmosphere. All halfwidths of water for transitions up to 13,000/cm have been replaced by values from calculations based on the work of Davies et al. (1978). Most of the 531 bands of carbon dioxide on the compilation have been recalculated based on the molecular constants of Rothman and Benedict (1978). Two major bands of methane (at 3.3 and 7.7 microns) have been improved and the (2-0) gamma band of the b 1 Sigma g-X 3 Sigma (-) g system of oxygen at 6280 A has been added.
