Scientific paper

Both stars have been catalogued as beta Lyrae or W UMa binaries but
practically nothing is known about them. An analysis of all the
available photometry together with new observations suggest that neither
star shows any periodic variation above 0.01-0.02 magnitudes but SS Hya
may be a double-lined spectroscopic binary.
