Galaxies in the IRAS survey, selected exclusively for their infrared flux, are analyzed. At Galactic latitude greater than 30^deg^, the distribution of those galaxies may be described by a simple clustering model. No signs of large-scale structure are found. The shape of the infrared luminosity function is the same as in the visible. A new method of testing that function is suggested.
