The radio continuum characteristics of an optically selected sample of 280 spiral galaxies were compared with their optical properties. Analysis of the radio continuum data obtained at a frequency of 1415 MHz indicated that (1) the disk component of the radio continuum emission of spiral galaxies contributes more than 90% of the total radio power, (2) the median radio power of the disk components and central sources is proportional to the mean optical luminosity, (3) the radio emissivity of the disk depends on the morphological stage, and (4) the disk emissivity in terms of radio power per unit light does not depend on the color.
