The characteristics of comets with aphelia from 7.46 to 14.2 AU were analyzed. The statistical criteria used show that they differ considerably from the Jupiter family. This is particularly evident in the parameters q, i, J (Jacobi constant), and L (perihelion longitude), in the dependence H10(q), in the dynamics of the increase of the number of comets, and in the response of comets to solar activity. The analysis of the J values with reference to Jupiter and Saturn shows that the comets belong to the family of the latter. The assumption that this group of comets is an intermediate one is rejected.
