The design of a tunable solar filter is described and analyzed. A double monochromator with subtraction of dispersions is the preliminary monochromator, and the final transmission band is formed by a Fabry-Perot tunable interferometer. Basic parameters of a working model of the filter and samples of filtergrams obtained on a horizontal solar telescope are given.
