The parametric influence of pronounced changes in the integral
conductivity of the lower unsteady ionosphere, caused by polar aurorae
and chromospheric flares, on the propagation of long-wave geomagnetic
variations is analyzed. An analytical solution is obtained, and
theoretical magnetograms are presented.
