Large excesses of Ne21, Ne22, and A38
have been found in uranium and thorium minerals. These abnormal
abundances are ascribed to (α, n) and (α, p) reactions in
the minerals. It is shown that it is possible that a part of the
atmospheric Ne21 originated in this way.
