Results are presented of an analysis of long-term continuous
observations of the solar magnetic field obtained with the Solar
Telescope for Operative Predictions (at the Sayan Observatory, USSR) in
1987 and 1989. The results yielded evidence for the existence of
5-min-period oscillations of the global magnetic field of the sun.
