Spaced receiver F-region drift measurements at Tiruchirapalli during a
low solar activity period in 1974 are examined during spread-F and
non-spread-F days. Later evening reversals of the drift and associated
electric field with pre-reversal enhancements are shown to be associated
with the incidence of equatorial spread-F.
