Scientific paper

From the compositional variations observed with the neutral atmosphere
composition experiment on OGO 6 and a simplified model of thermospheric
dynamics, global average values of non-EUV heating are deduced. These
are 0.19-0.25 mW/sq m for quiet days and 0.44-0.58 mW/sq m for ordinary
days.
