We report an observational study on an isolated massive dense core IRAS 20126+4104 that hosts an early B-type massive (proto)star (7 M¤) in the Cygnus X region. Using heterodyne receivers and SHARC II at the CSO, gas and dust components of the core were mapped. CO J=6--5 observations revealed narrow line width components in the envelope region of the core that show a velocity gradient of 2.2 km/s/pc from east to west. Assuming the velocity gradient is due to rotation of the core and the rotational energy balances with the gravitational energy, the enclosed mass of the core is estimated to be 180 M¤. Good spatial correlation between some of high velocity CO 6--5 components and shocked H2 knots is found. Two submillimeter wavelength band (350- and 450-micron) images of the core were taken with SHARC II. The flux ratio map made from the two submillimeter bands shows a bipolar feature which coincides with a large-scale bipolar outflow emanating from the massive (proto)star, suggesting the nature of the dust particles was changed because of the outflow activity inside the core.
