Very massive stars undergo excursions to both blue and red extremes of the HR Diagram. New desciptions of stellar interior physics and evolution including hydrodynamic processes result in substantial differences in structure from traditional stellar models. In particular, massive compact cores can drive stars to red extremes that are unstable to eruptive phenomena. I will discuss evolution calculations and prelimiary multi-D simulations with radiative transfer for massive stars at the hot/cool star boundary.
