It is shown that several subclasses of ipcl pulsations of the geomagnetic field can be identified, each of which corresponds to a particular type of reconnection of the interplanetary and geomagnetic fields. It is noted that these pulsations, accompanying pulsed reconnection, possess the following specific features: maximum intensity in the polar-cusp region, where the reconnection process is localized; dependence of pulsation amplitude on solar wind velocity; determination of pulsation intensity by the Bz component of the IMF, which conditions the pulsed reconnection; and a characteristic regime in the form of individual intense bursts corresponding to pulsed reconnection.
