Conjugate studies of high-latitude geomagnetic activity are essential to understanding the global magnetospheric reaction to external perturbations and the role of the ionosphere in modulating and coupling with the magnetosphere. Interhemispheric asymmetries as manifested in auroral emissions have been observed for over 40 years. Unfortunately, the nature of the problem has limited the type and extent of studies that can be performed to either conjugate ground based observations or comparison of space based images from all-sky cameras. In order to use images of different scenes from multiple space-based cameras, knowledge of their relative response to a common scene is required. In this paper, we compare the relative response of the IMAGE/FUV and Polar/UVI auroral imagers using 60 days in 2000 of simultaneous observations when the two cameras were imaging the same scene. Because the cameras do not have the same temporal or spatial resolution, the study involves cross calibration by common spatial bins interpolated to a common time. Investigation shows that there is a fixed relationship between the two cameras. We investigate analytical functions to describe this relationship. These functions can be used in any study involving these two cameras.
