Results of a reexamination of the geomagnetic coordinate system in the
vicinity of the Sondrestrom radar corrects earlier estimates of the
proper direction to the corrected geomagnetic pole. We find the
corrected geomagnetic pole direction at the Sondrestrom radar to be -17
deg geographic azimuth in contrast to the -27 deg value in common usage.
